Pragmatic Cnc Tech

Our workshop, Pragmatic Cnc Tech, is located in the Peenya Industrial Estate. We are at C206/C, on the 4th Cross of the 1st Stage. Peenya is a massive place, and it’s easy to get lost in all the crosses and stages. Our building is just one of many in this row. Inside, we have our CNC machines lined up. They make a very specific humming sound that fills the room all day long. It is a technical kind of work, but it still feels like manual labor because we are always moving material and cleaning up oil spills. The floors are painted grey, but they are scuffed up from all the heavy parts being moved around. We have a small area where we sit down to look at the designs on an old computer monitor. The rest of the space is for the machines. We keep the doors open most of the time to get some air, though the air in Peenya is mostly just exhaust and dust. It’s a busy life here. We usually start early and finish whenever the batch is done. There is always a lot of pressure to keep the machines running without any breakdowns. We don't have time for fancy talks; we just keep an eye on the gauges and make sure everything is running like it should. It’s loud, it’s oily, and it’s what we do.
