Pragathi Hospital

Pragathi Hospital has been operating near the Anu Hospital area for a while now. It’s a hectic place most mornings. You’ll see people waiting in the corridors or sitting on the benches outside. We handle a bit of everything here, from small scrapes to people feeling under the weather with a fever. It’s not like those giant corporate hospitals you see in the city center. Our rooms are plain and we use a lot of fans when it gets hot. The nurses are usually rushing around with clipboards and there's always that smell of antiseptic in the air. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and we all have to go to the stall across the road. We know most of the families who come through the doors because they live right here. It's important to have a place close by when someone gets sick at night. We keep the lights on and try to stay organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the front desk. Dealing with insurance and forms takes up a lot of time, but we just get through it. The building itself is older, so we’re always fixing a leaky tap or a creaky door. It’s a workplace that feels like a second home to those of us who spend twelve hours a day here. We just take it one patient at a time and do what needs doing. It is a noisy place but we like it that way.
