Powergear Ltd is located at 15 and 16 in Peenya. If you know anything about this part of Bangalore, you know it’s a massive industrial hub. It’s loud, busy, and always full of trucks and workers. Our place is right in the middle of it all. We’ve been in these units for a long time now. The floors are stained with oil and the walls have seen better days, but it’s a real working environment. We deal with power equipment, so there is always heavy steel and electrical components lying around. It’s definitely not a quiet office job. There is the constant sound of metal on metal and the hum of testing equipment. We don't have a fancy lobby or a human resources floor. Most of us just grab a quick lunch at the nearby canteens or at our desks. We aren't interested in sounding corporate. We are a group of people who understand gears and power systems. Our day starts early before the heat gets too bad. It’s a lot of physical work and technical checking. The air always smells of machine oil and metal shavings. We just focus on getting the production done and meeting our delivery dates. It’s a tough, honest way to work and we’ve been doing it like this for years. We don't need any big slogans to explain what we do here in Peenya. Most of the time we're too busy with the actual work anyway.
