Our shop is tucked away at 16/1 Journalist Colony. If you aren't looking for us, you might just drive right past the entrance. It's a standard hardware spot where we keep the essentials. We’ve got drawers full of screws, nails, and those tiny little washers that everyone seems to lose. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. Most of the time, the floor is covered in a bit of sawdust or metal shavings from when we’ve had to cut something to size. We don’t have a big corporate office or a team of marketing people writing stuff for us. It’s just us behind the counter. We’ve learned over the years that most folks just want to find what they need and get back to their projects. We try to help find the right tool for the job without making a big deal out of it. The sign outside has faded a bit from the sun, but everyone in the colony knows we’re here. Sometimes we stay late to count the inventory or clean up the grease spots on the workbench. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. Popular Hardware & Tools is just a local fixture, and we like it that way. We don't use fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in a ledger. We’ve been here since the early days when there were fewer houses around. It gets quiet in the afternoons, which gives us time to fix the squeaky door hinge we keep ignoring.
