Down on Madhavnagar, just off Race Course Road, you’ll find our building at number 32. It’s tucked away near Vnr Road. This part of the city is always moving, but inside the shop, we have our own pace. We deal with machines, so there is always a bit of grease and metal dust around. The floors are hard, and we spend most of the day on our feet. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch where you step because there might be a part drying or a tool left out for a moment. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. It’s just us doing the daily tasks. The windows are high up and let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. When the rain hits the roof, it gets so loud you can’t hear yourself talk, which is quite something. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all kind of look out for each other in this block. The office part is just a partitioned space with a couple of chairs that have seen better days. We keep the files organized the old-fashioned way. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but there is a system to it all. Most of the guys here have grease under their fingernails and don't mind the hard work. It’s just how things are at Pmt Machine Ltd. We keep working until the sun goes down and then we head home.
