Phoenix Hospital

This hospital is located over at No. 26 on the 1st Main Road, tucked into the 2nd Cross of CKC Garden. It’s quite close to Lalbagh Road and Subbaiah Circle, just off Mission Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always moving. We have patients coming in and out all day long. It's not a massive glass tower or anything like that. It’s more of a practical building that’s been part of the landscape for a while. We deal with all sorts of medical situations here. The hallways are usually pretty busy with nurses and families. Sometimes the parking out front gets a bit cramped because the streets are narrow around CKC Garden. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. There’s always someone at the desk, and the smell of antiseptic is pretty much everywhere. It’s just how it is in a hospital. We don’t have much time for fancy stuff, we just focus on the patients in the beds. The staff takes their breaks when they can find a spare ten minutes. It’s a lot of work, but we’re used to it. Being near Subbaiah Circle means people from all over this part of town end up here when they’re feeling unwell. We just keep the doors open and do what needs to be done. The fans on the ceiling hum all day, and there is always a stack of charts waiting to be filed. It is just the rhythm here.
