Pavithra Toolings

If you drive down Kanakapura Road, you’ll find the J.C.I. Estate. Our workshop, Pavithra Toolings, is at No. 35 & 36 on the 6th Main. It’s a dusty part of the estate where there’s always someone welding or grinding something nearby. We’ve got two plots, so there’s enough room for our equipment and a bit of space to move around. The 6th Main isn’t very wide, and when trucks come to drop off materials, everything else kind of stops. We start early to avoid the worst of the heat. Inside, the walls are lined with different jigs and fixtures we’ve built over time. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working shop where things are a bit messy but organized in our own way. We don't have a big office, just a small cabin with a table and a few chairs where we keep the logs. Most of the day is spent listening to the drone of the lathe or the sound of the drill press. We talk over the noise when we need to coordinate. The guys usually take a break in the shade of the mango tree just outside the gate. It’s hard work and the days can be long, but we like the independence of having our own shop. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else in the estate. We just do our daily work.
