Nitte School Of Architecture

You can find us on the Nmit Campus, which is situated in Gollahalli, Govindapura. We’re tucked away off the International Airport Road, near NH 7 in Yelahanka. It’s a bit of a trek out here from the city, but the campus has plenty of space for everything a school needs. Here at Nitte School of Architecture, things are usually a bit chaotic in a creative way. There are students carrying around big sheets of paper or pieces of balsa wood for their models. The halls are often filled with drawings taped to the walls for review. It isn't a stiff or overly formal place. Most of the faculty are just regular architects who spend their time explaining how to keep a roof from leaking or how to make a room feel bigger. We have studios where the work happens, and it’s common to see lights on late into the evening. The area around Yelahanka is still a bit open compared to the rest of Bangalore, which gives the students some breathing room. We just provide the space and the tools for people to learn the craft. It’s a lot of sketching, a lot of redoing work, and a lot of coffee. We don't pretend to have all the answers, but we help the students look for them. It’s just a school where people learn how buildings are put together, plain and simple. We like the energy that the students bring every day.
