Neonates Critical Care Foundation

Our office is up on the 14th floor of Mittal Tower, over in Wing C on MG Road. It’s a big building, and the elevators take a while during the lunch rush. Neonates Critical Care Foundation is where we handle the administrative side of things for newborn care. Even though we are in a tall building in the middle of Bangalore, the office itself is pretty plain. We have a lot of charts and medical reference books stacked up on the shelves. It’s not a hospital, but we deal with a lot of doctors and families who are going through some tough times. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the traffic down on MG Road, which never seems to stop. We spend our days on the phone or typing up reports about medical needs. Sometimes it’s a bit quiet in here, and other times everyone is talking at once. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. Just a few of us trying to coordinate help where it’s needed most for babies. It can be a lot of pressure, but we just take it one day at a time. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp and get through the paperwork. It’s a practical workspace for people who care about the little ones and want to make sure the right equipment gets to the right places. We've been here for a while now.
