Navkis Residential Junior College For Boys

Out here in Gejjageda Halli, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Bangalore city. Navkis Residential Junior College For Boys is located in Sivanpura Post, within the Dasanapura Hobli area. Since it’s a residential place, the boys stay with us throughout the term. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the south side, but the space is good for a college. The building is at number 11. Life here follows a strict schedule because that’s what works for a bunch of teenage boys. We have dorms and classrooms all in the same general area. It’s not just about the books; we have to make sure the food is decent and the living quarters are kept up. The North Taluk side of town has more open space, which is a nice change. It can get quite windy in the evenings. We deal with the usual stuff like power cuts or water deliveries sometimes. Managing a residential college means being on call all the time. There is always something happening, whether it's study hours or just the boys hanging out during their free time. We aren’t trying to be a five-star hotel. It’s a place for learning and living. Most of the staff live nearby or on-site, so we’re all pretty familiar with the routine. We just try to keep things running as smoothly as possible for the students who are staying out here. It’s a long day for everyone.
