National Power Tools

National Power Tools is over at No.3 on Banki Nawab Street. We are tucked into the first cross, which is just off S P Road. If you’ve ever spent time on S P Road, you know it’s a maze of shops and people moving things on carts. Our place is full of boxes. We’ve got drills, grinders, and all sorts of power equipment stacked up to the ceiling. It smells like machine oil and new metal in here, which I guess is what you’d expect. The shop has been here for a long time, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy moving stock to worry about that. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with tools means we get all kinds of people coming in—some who know exactly what bolt they need and others who are just starting a project. We don't do anything fancy with the display; if there's space on the shelf, something goes there. The street outside is always noisy with honking and people shouting, but that’s just the way it is in this part of town. We keep a ledger for the regular customers and try to keep things simple. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, but we always manage to find a corner for everything.
