Nandini Precision Tools

If you go past Vidhyapeeta Circle over in Banashankari 1st Stage, you’ll find us. We are in the BKM Complex at 47/2 Doddakalasandra. Nandini Precision Tools is mostly about small parts that need to be exact. It’s a bit of a tight space in the complex, but we have our machines lined up just right. We’ve had some of these tools for years. They still work better than the new stuff sometimes. My cousin and a couple of local guys help out. We spend a lot of time measuring things. If a tool isn't cut right, it’s useless, so we have to be careful. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer. We usually keep the door open for a breeze. People come to us when they can't find a specific piece elsewhere. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't busy with a lathe. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch for a customer. It's hard work, and our hands are always dirty. We like the neighborhood though. It’s a good community. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go around here, but we just keep doing our thing. No big plans to expand, just keeping the quality where it needs to be. We drink a lot of chai to keep us going through the day. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to pause the work, which is annoying but we deal with it. The rent goes up every few years, but we manage to stay afloat.
