M.S.Ramaiah Narayana Hrudayalaya

This place is located right inside the M.S.Ramaiah Hospital campus on New BEL Road. It’s a big area in Mathikere, and it can be a bit confusing to find your way around at first because the hospital is so large. We are part of the Narayana Hrudayalaya setup here, focusing on heart stuff. Every morning, the gates open and a lot of people start pouring in from the surrounding parts of Bangalore. You see people waiting in the corridors and doctors rushing between buildings. It’s a heavy environment sometimes, given what we do here, but it’s also just a place of work for us. We spend our time looking at monitors and checking on patients in the wards. The sound of the traffic on New BEL Road is always in the background, but inside, it’s mostly the sound of footsteps on the tile floors. It’s a very busy hospital, so things never really stop. We have our routines, our shifts, and our coffee breaks when we can get them. There are a lot of different departments all working in the same space, so it takes a lot of coordination to keep things from getting messy. We just focus on the task at hand, whether it’s a check-up or something more serious. It’s a landmark in this part of town, and we are just here doing our part every day. We see hundreds of faces every week and just keep going.
