If you are looking for us, we are over on Hosur Road at the Bosch Power Tools facility. Motor Industries Co.Ltd. has a significant presence here, and it is a very large site. The traffic on Hosur Road is almost always heavy, so most of us try to get in early to beat the gridlock. Once you get inside the gates, it’s a different world from the noisy road outside. There are a lot of different sections for the various power tools we handle. It’s a very practical environment, with concrete floors and high ceilings that echo quite a bit. We spend our days moving between the storage areas and the desks. The smell of grease and new plastic is pretty strong in some parts of the building. We have a canteen where most of us gather during the breaks to talk about the day. It’s a very structured place to work, which you need when you’re dealing with so many different tools and parts. The signage for Bosch Power Tools is big enough that you can’t miss it from the road. The weather in this part of town can be quite unpredictable, so we’re always checking the roof for leaks when it rains. It is a busy, hardworking atmosphere where the focus is strictly on the equipment and the tasks at hand. There isn't much time for lounging around on Hosur Road, that's for sure. Most of us are pretty tired by the time the shift ends.
