Max Brass & Glow Sign is right across from the Bharat Petrol Bunk in Richmond Town. You can usually hear us working if you walk past 41491 because cutting metal and polishing brass isn't exactly a quiet job. We have been in this spot for a while now. The shop is filled with scraps of material and half-finished letters for signs. Richmond Town is always moving, so there is plenty of dust that comes in from the street, which means we are constantly wiping things down. Making a glow sign takes more time than people think, especially getting the wiring to sit right so everything lights up evenly. We also do a lot of brass work, which is heavy and gets your hands dirty fast. It is just the way it goes here. There’s no big office with air conditioning, just the workspace where we get things done. Sometimes we are working late because a sign needs to be ready for a shop opening the next morning. Most of the folks who come to us are local business owners who need their names up on a wall or a board out front. It is honest work, even if it’s loud and messy most of the time. The petrol bunk across the road is a good landmark because people always get lost trying to find specific numbers in Richmond Town. We often have to step outside to help someone find our door among all the other shops. It’s a busy street and the noise never really stops until very late.
