Mathrubelaku Foundation

Mathrubelaku Foundation is up in Bangalore North, specifically on Acharya College Road. Our place is number 38, called Kodiranganathaswamy Nilaya. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but the locals know the building. Being near a college means there is always a lot of energy around, with students walking by and bikes zooming past at all hours. We have been operating from this spot for a while now. The foundation is mostly about helping people who are going through a tough time, kind of like how a mother looks after her family. We don't have a massive budget or a marketing team to tell our story. Usually, it's just one of us answering the door or replying to an email between other chores. The office inside the Nilaya is modest. We have some old wooden desks and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We spend our days coordinating different programs and making sure the help goes where it is actually needed. It is a lot of logistics and talking to people from the nearby areas. Sometimes it gets overwhelming with the noise from the road, but we have gotten used to it. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just trying to do our bit from this corner of Bangalore. If you ever stop by, you will probably find us sorting through files or planning the next community drive.
