At Mathaji Home Appliances, we mostly deal with the everyday things people need for their kitchens and houses. We are located at Hulimavu 55/56. It’s a decent-sized space but it feels small when you have too many refrigerators or washing machines on the floor at once. I usually spend my mornings checking the stock and seeing what needs to be moved to make more room. People from around Hulimavu come in looking for a new stove or maybe just a spare part for a mixer that broke down. We don't have a fancy showroom with carpets and soft music. It’s more of a place where you can come in and actually touch the appliances. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass tops and the metal frames. My brother and I run the place most of the time. We aren't experts at everything, but we know how these machines work. If a customer has a problem, we just try to help them find a fix. The building at 55/56 has been our base for a while now. It’s not always organized perfectly, and sometimes boxes are stacked a bit too high in the corner. We just keep things moving and try to make sure we have what people are looking for when they walk through the door. It’s just honest work in a busy part of the city.
