If you look for us in Rajajinagar, we are right there at number 87, just across from the Saraswathi Kalyana Mantapa which is a big landmark around here. It is quite convenient because people always know where that is when they are asking for directions to our shop. We handle a lot of different products and the store is usually packed with boxes and crates that we are moving around. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes while we unload the new stock, but the neighbors are pretty patient about it. We don't have a lot of space for showing off everything, so things are stacked pretty high on the wooden shelves we built ourselves. The floor is concrete and shows some wear from all the heavy lifting we do every day. On days when there is a wedding at the hall across the street, it gets very lively and noisy with music and people in nice clothes, which makes the day go by faster for us. We just stay busy counting items and making sure the orders are ready for whoever comes to pick them up. It is a straightforward kind of job and we like the routine of opening up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. We don't spend much on decorations because we’d rather have more room for the actual inventory we need to keep on hand for the locals.
