Matara Industries

We have been operating Matara Industries from this spot in Rajajinagar for quite a long time now. Our place is located at 85/6 on the 12th Main Road, which is very close to Santhala School. If you are walking by in the morning, you can hear the kids playing while we are getting the machines warmed up. The workshop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, but it serves us well. We do a lot of heavy work here, mostly stuff involving metal and fabrication. It gets quite dusty and loud throughout the day, so we usually keep the big doors open for some air. Most of our neighbors know us by the sound of the grinders. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just hears about us from a friend and drops by with a sketch or a broken part that needs fixing. We have a small crew of three people who have been with me for years. We eat our lunch together in the back and talk about the news. The 12th Main is a busy stretch, but we have our own little rhythm here. Sometimes customers stay for a bit of tea and a chat while they wait for a small job to be finished. It is a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get it done right so it doesn't come back to us later.
