If you know Peenya, you know how busy 8th Cross gets. Our place at C 347/1 is right in the middle of all that noise and movement. We keep a lot of spares and different machine tools on the shelves. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to stock whatever people might need on short notice. Most of the time, someone comes in looking for a specific part they can't find elsewhere. We spend our mornings checking the stock and the afternoons helping customers who drop by the shop. It’s mostly regular faces from the nearby factories around 1st Stage. We’ve been here long enough to know what usually breaks and what people are going to ask for. The shop isn't shiny, and the floor is a bit uneven, but it works for us. We don't bother with fancy displays. The tools are just there in their boxes or on the racks. Dealing with machinery means things get dusty and oily, so that’s just how the shop stays. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but most of the talking happens standing up near the counter. It is a straightforward business. We get the tools in, and we get them out to the people who need them to keep their machines running. There isn't much more to it than that. We just focus on keeping the shelves filled and being here when the doors open every single morning.
