Manipal Northside Hospital

Down on 11th Cross in Malleshwaram, our hospital has become a bit of a staple in the area. Malleshwaram has that old Bangalore feel to it, with the big trees and the narrow streets, and we fit right into that. The Northside branch is a bit smaller than some of the massive hospitals you see elsewhere, but that makes it feel a bit more personal. You might hear the bells from the temples nearby or the sound of the morning market if the windows are open. We’ve got a tight-knit crew working here. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated processes when someone walks in. Usually, it’s just a matter of finding out what hurts and getting them to the right room on the right floor. The stairs are narrow, and the elevator can be a bit temperamental, but it’s part of the building's character. We see a lot of elderly folks from the neighborhood who have lived here their whole lives. It’s nice to have those familiar conversations while waiting for the results to come back. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or making the place look like a hotel. It’s a hospital through and through. Our focus is just on the daily tasks, making sure the beds are ready and the medicine is stocked up. It’s a busy life on 11th Cross, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The staff room is small, but it’s where we catch up on the local gossip over coffee.
