Manipal Hospital

We are situated at 98Rustom Baug Old Airport Road. It is a big site and we have a lot of different wings for different types of care. If you come inside, you’ll see the main reception area where everything starts. It’s often a bit noisy with people asking questions and phones ringing. We have a lot of staff members, from the cleaners to the senior doctors, all trying to make the day go smoothly. The hallways are wide to fit the stretchers and equipment that go back and forth. It’s a practical place, built to handle a lot of visitors. We don’t go in for much fluff. The rooms have what they need and not much else. Most people who work here live nearby, so it feels like a local spot even though it’s large. You see the same faces quite often. We have a routine for everything, from the morning shift change to the night rounds. It’s a lot of work to keep a place like this going twenty-four hours a day. The weather outside might change, but inside it’s pretty much the same environment all year round. We keep the cupboards full of bandages and the medicine cabinets locked up tight. It’s just a regular hospital doing its job on Old Airport Road. We don’t make a big deal out of it, we just make sure the doors are unlocked and someone is at the desk when people need us for something.
