Mahaveer Electricals & Electronics

Our shop is right there on Padarayanapura Road No 2, inside the Maramma Temple building. It’s easy to find because you just look for the Plage Maramma Temple and we are right next to it. Mahaveer Electricals & Electronics is a small place, packed from floor to ceiling with wires, switches, and those old-style fans. It’s a bit of a maze inside. If you need a specific bulb or a certain type of copper wire, I usually have to dig through a few boxes to find it. The temple bells ring throughout the day, which is nice, but it can get loud when there’s a festival. I’ve lived in this area my whole life and the shop has been here for a good chunk of it. Most of my customers are just people from the neighborhood whose iron stopped working or who need a new plug point installed. I don’t have a computer to track everything; I just write it down in a big ledger. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is always covered in bits of stripped wire. It’s just me and a helper most days. We drink tea from the stall across the road and talk to whoever walks in. It isn't a high-end showroom. It’s just a place where you can get your electrical stuff fixed or bought without much fuss. We stay open late because people always seem to have their lights go out right at dinner time.
