Mahalakshmi Tools

If you walk down Kumbarpet Road, you will find us at number 128. It is a busy stretch of road and there is always something going on outside our door. Inside the shop, things are a bit more organized, though it might not look like it to someone walking in for the first time. We have shelves full of different tools and bits that we have collected over time. It smells like machine oil and cold metal in here, which is something you get used to pretty quickly. People come in looking for specific sizes or types of tools that they can't find elsewhere. We spend a lot of time looking through bins and boxes to find exactly what someone needs. Sometimes we have to order things in, but usually, we have what is required sitting somewhere in the back. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is. It is a small team here at Mahalakshmi Tools. We eat our lunch in the back room and talk about whatever is in the news. The street noise never really stops, but it becomes like background music after a while. We don't spend money on fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the stock updated and helping whoever walks through the door. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we like the rhythm of the work we do every day.
