Macro Machine Tools

Macro Machine Tools is over at 21 Kadugondanahalli, in the Mahadev Nagar Tekra area. It’s a place where we’ve got several big machines taking up most of the floor space. The smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being turned is what greets you every morning. We’ve been in Kadugondanahalli for a bit, and it’s a neighborhood that’s always bustling. The workshop isn't the cleanest place because of all the metal shavings, but that’s just the nature of the work. We spend a lot of time leaning over the lathes or checking the calibration on the milling machines. Mahadev Nagar Tekra has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of that over time. Our desks are usually covered in blueprints and oily rags. It’s not a corporate setup at all; we’re mostly just a small group of people who know how to run these machines. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to wait around until the generator kicks in or the line comes back. We grab food from the local stalls nearby when we have a break. The walls are a bit stained and the floor has seen better days, but the machines themselves are kept in good order. It’s a lot of precision work that requires a lot of patience. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of orders that come in every week.
