Machine Tools Traders

Our shop is located at No.41 on N R Road and if you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the hardware stores and vehicles. Machine Tools Traders has been squeezed into this spot for quite a while. The front of the shop is mostly taken up by heavy boxes that just arrived or are waiting to go out to someone’s factory. It is always loud outside with the honking and the shouting of the loaders, so we usually have to talk quite loudly just to hear each other. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from a few years back that never really came out no matter how much we scrubbed. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have tall metal racks that go all the way to the ceiling. If you need something from the top shelf, one of us has to go find the old wooden ladder we keep tucked in the corner. Sometimes the computer is slow and we have to write down orders by hand on a yellow pad, which feels more natural anyway. We know most of the other shop owners on this block and we often borrow change or a stapler from them. It is a gritty place to work but it feels real and we are used to the smell of metal and packing tape. We just stay busy and try to keep things moving.
