We have been at No.1-J in Ulsoor for a long time now. It is a busy part of the city and the traffic outside the door never really stops from morning until late at night. The building itself is nothing special to look at but it gets the job done for us. Inside the office at Machine Tools India Pvt Ltd, there are stacks of papers and old catalogs on most of the desks because we still like to look things up the old way sometimes. It is usually quite dusty because of all the construction happening nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the display items. Most of us have worked here for years and we know exactly where every single wrench and spare part is kept, even if the shelves look a bit disorganized to someone walking in for the first time. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit by the window and watch the people going toward the lake. We keep a small kettle in the back for making tea which we drink while we wait for deliveries to arrive. It is not a fancy place and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we like the neighborhood and the regulars who stop by just to chat or ask for a specific tool they can't find anywhere else in the area. It is just a normal work day for us most of the time.
