Our place is at 84 Sampige Road in Malleshwaram. If you’ve ever walked down this road, you know how packed it gets with people and shops. We’ve been here for years, and the building itself is quite old. Inside, it’s mostly shelves piled high with all kinds of hardware and tools. We have everything from small screws to heavy-duty wrenches. It’s a bit dusty, and the floorboards creak in some spots, but it works for us. We don't use fancy computers to track everything; we mostly know where things are by memory or by looking through the drawers. The street outside is always noisy with buses and people shouting, but we’re used to it. We open the shutters early in the morning, and the first thing we do is light a bit of incense near the door. It’s a small shop, so we often have to move boxes out to the sidewalk just to make room to walk inside. We get all kinds of people coming in, from plumbers looking for a specific valve to homeowners needing a hammer. We don't do any big promotions or anything. People just know us because we’ve been on this corner for so long. It’s a busy life, but we like being in the middle of Malleshwaram. We just try to keep the stock full and help the people who walk in.
