Killari Road is always packed with people and bikes. Finding our place at number 167 in Pandav Nagar can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't looking closely. The shop is full of rolls of fabric and boxes of lights. Mostly, the days go by with us fitting seat covers or trying to figure out why a car's stereo isn't playing right. It gets dusty pretty fast because of all the traffic outside, so there is a lot of dusting to do every morning. Sometimes customers bring in old cars that need a lot of work on the inside, and those take up most of our floor space. We usually have some music playing to keep things from getting too quiet, but it’s mostly drowned out by the horns on the street. There is a persistent squeak in the front door hinge that we haven't oiled in months. When the sun hits the front window in the afternoon, it gets quite warm inside. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask for small things or just to chat while we work. The address is 167, and there's usually a couple of cars parked haphazardly right outside while we finish up the work. It’s just a regular shop where we do what we can with the tools we have. Nothing more to it than that, really. It keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
