Our place is tucked into the SMS Building over in Mahadevapura. It’s 207 Maruthi Seva Nagar if you’re looking for the exact door. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while, making signs and things for the shops around Bangalore. It’s a busy area and the building has a lot of movement. The workspace is usually covered in scraps of material and bits of tape because we are always in the middle of a project. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist, so you usually just walk in and find us at the back. The machines we use make a bit of a hum all day long. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and we have to wait it out, which is just part of being in this part of town. We know most of the people in the building by now. We usually have a tea break in the afternoon when the sun hits the windows a certain way. It gets quite warm inside during the summer months but we keep the fans going. We do all sorts of lettering and boards, mostly just handling whatever comes through the door. It’s not a quiet job, especially with all the cutting and sticking we do. We like being in Maruthi Seva Nagar because it’s close to everything we need. Most of our day is just spent measuring and checking the alignment on things.
