Mg Road is always a bit of a mess with the traffic and people everywhere. We are up on the 9th floor of the C Wing in Mittal Tower. It’s one of those older buildings where you sometimes wait a while for the lift, but once you get up here, it’s a bit quieter. Loknath Exim has been running from this spot for some time now. Mostly we deal with the import and export paperwork and coordination. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments that are halfway across the ocean or stuck at a port somewhere. Some days the phones don’t stop ringing and other days we are just catching up on files. The office isn't anything fancy, just desks, computers, and a lot of tea being made in the small pantry. We have a view of the city from the windows, though usually, we are too busy looking at screens to notice the weather much. It’s mostly just us working through the lists and making sure the numbers match up. Being on the 9th floor means you don't hear the honking as much, which is good when you're trying to concentrate on shipping logs. We just do our bit every day, getting things moved from one place to another. The desks are a bit crowded with folders and old ledgers. We usually go down for lunch nearby at one of the small stalls. It’s steady work and we’ve been at it long enough to know the routine by heart. It’s just a normal office life for us here.
