At 186/3 Whitefield Linking Road, things stay pretty hectic for Lineage Power (India) Pvt Ltd. Whitefield has changed so much over the years, but we’re still here dealing with power systems and back-up solutions. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, literally and figuratively. We have batteries and power modules stacked up in the back, and there’s always someone checking the voltage on something. The office is right off the main road, so we hear the honking all day long. It’s not a quiet executive suite. It’s more of a place where people wear boots and carry heavy toolboxes. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with sites across the city. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, which makes getting deliveries out a real headache. We don’t really do the whole polished corporate routine. If you walk in, you’ll see us in our work shirts, probably arguing about a circuit diagram or a shipping delay. We’ve been at this address long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly how we like our drinks. It’s a practical business. We keep the lights on for other people, which keeps us pretty busy from morning until late evening. The space is a bit cluttered with spare parts and manuals, but we know where everything is. It’s just how we operate. We don’t need anything fancier than what we’ve got right here.
