Lal Commerce Academy

You can find Lal Commerce Academy on the second floor of a building in Zone 2, right on the Main Road in Bangalore. It’s a busy part of the 560001 district. To get to us, you have to walk up two flights of stairs that are a little narrow. Once you’re up here, we have a few classrooms where we focus on commerce subjects like accounting and business studies. We started this because we saw a lot of students in the area struggling with their numbers. The Main Road is always noisy with traffic, but we’ve put up some curtains to try and dull the sound a bit. It’s a simple setup with rows of desks and a big chalkboard in the front. We don't have fancy computers or high-tech gadgets. It’s just pens, paper, and a lot of practice. The students who come here are usually from the local colleges nearby. They come in after their regular lectures are over. We spend a lot of time going over old exam papers and trying to make sense of the balance sheets. It's a lot of hard work, and the room can get a bit stuffy when it's full. We just keep the fans going and get on with the lessons. It’s been our daily routine for quite a few years now in this part of Bangalore. We keep a stack of extra paper on the shelf for anyone who runs out mid-session.
