Lakme Paints & Varnishes

We've been at this spot in Peenya Industrial Area for a while now. Being on the 3rd floor at Horamavu means moving a lot of heavy cans up and down, which keeps everyone busy. It’s mostly just us surrounded by tins of paint and different varnishes all day long. Sometimes the smell of the solvent is really strong when we open the big containers. The office part is small because most of the room is taken up by stock. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the lids are tight. People come by looking for specific colors or something to finish their woodwork. It’s a dusty place sometimes, especially with the industrial traffic outside. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we get things ready for the day. My hands usually have a bit of paint on them by noon. The stairs can be a bit much when it's hot out. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer asks for without digging through too many boxes. Most of our neighbors are also making things or selling parts, so it’s a loud area. We keep the windows open when the weather allows it. It’s nothing special to look at, just a place where we handle paint and try to get the orders right before the sun goes down. It's a bit of a walk up, but we've got the space we need.
