Kumar Industry

If you look for us in Chamrajpet, you will find Kumar Industry right at 216/1. We are situated in the Hirji Jivraj Chawl area on Tokersi Jivraj Road. It is an old part of the city and things can get a bit cramped on the streets, but we have been working out of this spot for a long time. Our daily routine is mostly about the noise of machines and getting the work done. We deal with various industrial tasks and it is usually quite a dusty environment. It is not a shiny office with air conditioning. We have our benches and our equipment and we spend most of our hours making sure things are built or fixed correctly. The chawl has a lot of history and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting through the narrow parts of Tokersi Jivraj Road, so we have to coordinate things carefully. We don't have a big team of people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, getting our hands dirty and finishing what needs to be finished. We have seen the area change a lot over the years but our little corner remains pretty much the same. People know us by our name and they know where to find us when they need something made or sorted out. It’s a straightforward way of working and we just keep at it.
