Kothari Industrial Stores

We run Kothari Industrial Stores out of the Muddanna Complex in Sunkadakatte. Our shop is right on the Magadi Main Road, which is always full of vehicles and people moving through Sunkadakatte. Being in a complex like this means we have a lot of neighbors, and there is always someone passing by the front door. We keep the store stocked with various industrial items that local workers and contractors need for their daily jobs. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment in, but we manage to tuck everything away. People come in looking for specific sizes of bolts or tools, and we spend a good chunk of the day digging through bins to find the right match. It is a very social job because we talk to everyone who walks in, from old friends to new faces just passing through. We don't use a lot of fancy technology to track things; we mostly rely on our memory and the handwritten ledgers. The floor is worn down from years of boots walking over it, and that’s just fine by us. It feels like a real place where actual work gets supported. Sometimes we stay late to reorganize the stock when the street finally gets quiet.
