Kaveri Traders

Started the shop here in Okalipuram a while back. It is on the 8th Cross, just a bit inside from the main road. We spend most of our mornings just moving things around and making space for the new stock that comes in. It gets quite dusty around here because of the traffic, but we try to keep things clean. Most people who live nearby know where we are. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name Kaveri Traders on the board. We deal with various items people need for their homes or small projects. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow lane, and we have to help them move so others can pass. It is a busy spot. My cousin helps out in the afternoons when I have to go to the bank or meet suppliers. We keep a ledger for the regular guys who come in every week. The building we are in is called Mii. It’s an old place but it stays cool even when it is hot outside. We have a small desk in the corner where I sit and do the billing. Usually, we close by eight in the evening once the street lights come on and things quiet down a bit. It is just a regular local business where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth works fine for us in this part of town.
