Devee Vigetable Exports

Down in Katamnallur, near the Virgo Nagar post office, is where you will find us. We’ve been working with vegetables for quite some time now. It’s a lot of early mornings. We have to get things sorted before the heat of the day really kicks in. The air usually smells like earth and fresh greens around the loading area. It’s a humble spot, nothing like those high-tech offices you see in the city. We have some sheds and a lot of crates stacked up against the walls. My uncle started this whole thing years ago and I just took over the day-to-day stuff recently. It’s hard work, mostly lifting and checking the quality of what comes in from the farms. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just deal with the produce and make sure it gets to where it’s supposed to go. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather isn't great, which can be a bit of a headache. We just deal with it as it comes. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the main city, which I like. We usually have a radio playing in the background while we work. It keeps the energy up during the long shifts. People around here know us as the vegetable guys. We just keep things moving and try not to overcomplicate the process. The sun gets strong by noon, so we try to finish the heavy loading before then to keep things fresh.
