Karthik Enterprises is right on Balepet Main Road at No. 8. If you look across the street, you’ll see the SLN Temple, so it’s easy to find us. This part of the city is always crowded and busy, which we kind of like. There’s a lot of energy on the street. Our shop is a bit small, but we pack a lot of inventory into the space. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. Usually, there’s a couple of us behind the counter helping customers who walk in from the main road. It gets pretty cramped during the festival seasons because everyone is out shopping in Balepet. We don't have fancy displays; we just put the items where people can see them. Sometimes the door sticks a little when it's raining, but we know how to give it a good shove. Most of our regulars have been coming here for years. They know us by name and we know what they usually need before they even ask. We don’t bother with much paperwork besides the receipts. It’s a traditional way of doing business. The temple bells ring in the morning and evening, which is a nice sound to have in the background while we work. We’ve stayed in this spot because it feels like home to us. It's just a regular local shop.
