Kamalakar

If you go to 450 Jayanagar, you’ll find the place where I work. My name is Kamalakar and I’ve been running things here for quite some time. Jayanagar is a nice area, very green and mostly quiet compared to the rest of the city. My setup is pretty straightforward. I don’t like things to be too complicated. I usually get here around nine in the morning and start going through whatever came in the day before. The walls are a bit plain and the furniture is old, but it’s comfortable for me. I’ve known most of the people on this street for years. We talk about the weather or the new shops opening up nearby. I don't really have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People just know where I am and what I do. Sometimes the internet acts up and I have to wait for the technician, which is annoying but that’s life. I keep my books manually for the most part because I trust my handwriting more than a screen. It’s just me and a small space filled with stuff I’ve collected over the years. I don’t try to be something I’m not. If someone needs something, they walk in and we talk. It’s a very local way of doing things, and it works for me and the folks who come by.
