Kamal Udyog

Down in J P Nagar, on Street No 4 at number 25, you’ll find us at Kamal Udyog. It’s a fairly plain building, nothing that would make you stop and stare, but we do a lot of work inside those walls. We mostly handle small-scale manufacturing and processing stuff. The floors are concrete and have seen better days, showing the marks of heavy machinery and years of feet moving back and forth. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. We take things as they come. Some weeks are focused on finishing a big batch of parts, while others are slower, giving us time to fix the machines or organize the tool racks. It’s often hot, and the overhead fans don’t do much more than move the warm air around, but nobody complains much. We’ve all been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the city. We just want to make sure the things we build are solid and that we can pay our bills at the end of the month. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of life here.
