You can find K V S College of Nursing right across from the BDA Shopping Complex in Austin Town. It’s a very active spot, being so close to the bus stand. There are always people moving about, and it gets quite loud during the peak hours of the day. The building itself is easy to spot once you are in the area. We have students coming in from different parts of the city, many of them arriving by bus since the stop is right there. Inside, things are usually focused on the practical side of nursing. The classrooms are filled with diagrams and sometimes the smell of disinfectant. It isn't a luxury campus, just a place meant for studying and getting work done. The staff here are mostly busy with classes or helping students with their clinical placements. We have a small office that usually has stacks of forms and registers on the desks. Sometimes the lift is a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs. It’s a hardworking environment. The students are often seen in their uniforms, heading out to the nearby hospitals or catching a quick lunch at the stalls near the shopping complex. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s all about the books and the training. It is a plain, honest place for people who want to get into the nursing profession and find a stable career.
