Jyothi Nivas College

Jyothi Nivas College sits at No.489, right across from the Krishna Temple in Koramangala. If you know the area, we are near Goldie Films on the JNC Main Road in the 5th Block, not far from Hosur Road. It is a busy corner of the world. Students are always rushing around, and there is a lot of noise from the street. We have been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. The gates are usually open and you will see people hanging out near the entrance between their classes. It is a place where things actually happen, not some quiet library where you cannot make a sound. We have got different buildings for different subjects, but everything is pretty close together. It is not the newest place in town, but it has got character. You will see old posters on the walls and maybe a few cats wandering around the grounds. People come here because it is a solid place to learn, and we do not try to make it seem like something it is not. It is just a college in the middle of a very active part of Bangalore. We deal with the usual stuff like exams, lectures, and the occasional event that takes over the whole courtyard. Getting here can be a bit of a pain with the Koramangala traffic, but once you are inside the gates, it feels a bit more organized. It is just us, doing our daily work with the students.
