About John Jocob Interior Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Bengaluru
I've been working as John Jocob Interior Architect for quite some time now. Our office is tucked away in Richmond Town, specifically over at Old M H B Colony 4. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that, just a regular place where we get things done. Most days, the tables are covered in rolls of blueprints and fabric samples that never seem to stay organized. I spend a lot of time on my feet, usually checking on sites or sketching out how a kitchen might look if we moved a wall. It’s noisy sometimes because of the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. People drop by to talk about their houses, and we sit down with some tea to figure out what fits. Sometimes the ideas work right away, and other times we have to redraw everything three times. That’s just how it goes with interiors. I don’t really go for those big flashy presentations. I’d rather show someone a rough drawing and explain how the light hits a corner. Richmond Town has changed a lot since I started, but our spot in the colony stays pretty much the same. We have some old chairs that aren't very comfortable but they've been here since the beginning. It’s just me and a couple of others trying to make spaces work better for the folks who live in them. No big secrets to it, just measuring twice and hoping the contractor shows up on time.
