Out here in Jindal Nagar on Tumkur Road, things stay pretty busy around the clock. Jindal Aluminium Limited has been a part of this landscape for quite some time now. When you walk through the gate, you immediately notice the scale of the place. It’s not just a small shed; it is a massive operation where we deal with aluminium in all its forms. There is a lot of heat involved in the process, especially near the furnaces where the metal gets melted down. We spend our days watching the extrusion presses and making sure the profiles come out right. It’s a lot of metal moving around on forklifts and trucks coming in to load up. The air smells like hot metal and oil, which is just how an industrial site should be. Workers are always moving about in their safety gear. We have a lot of different sections for different jobs, from casting to finishing. Tumkur Road is usually packed with traffic, so we are used to the noise of the highway too. It’s a practical place where the focus is on the output. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the machines and the metal. The sheer amount of aluminium that goes through here every single day is honestly quite something to see if you aren’t used to it. The shift changes happen like clockwork, and you see a whole new group of people coming in while the others head home tired. It is a cycle that never really stops.
