Jeshtarith Foundation

Our office for Jeshtarith Foundation is at 14/2, taking up both the 1st and 2nd floor on 13th Cross. We are right opposite the Taluk Office in Cubbonpet. If you know that area at all, you know how busy it gets with people constantly coming and going for their paperwork. It is a very active and loud part of town. The stairs going up to the office are a bit steep, so you get a little bit of a workout every time you come in for the day. Being on two different floors gives us a bit of room to spread out our things, though the rooms themselves are not very large. We use the first floor for most of the daily walk-ins and the second floor for storing all our files and taking our tea breaks. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old paper and concrete. We can hear the traffic and the shouting from the market nearby all day long. It is not a place for someone who wants total peace and quiet, but we like being right in the heart of things. We have a small stove upstairs to make coffee, which is a lifesaver on our busy days. Most of the furniture is mismatched because we bought pieces at different times. It is a very functional space. We do not spend money on fancy rugs or art.
