Jai Jawan Grindings

You can find Jai Jawan Grindings over at 421/2 Peenya 2nd Stage. We are in Phase I, near Chandra Layout, which is a very industrial part of the city. The air around here usually smells like metal and heavy machinery. Our shop is focused on grinding work, which is a dirty and loud job, but we’ve been doing it for years. The floor is concrete and usually covered in fine dust from the work we do. We don’t have any air conditioning or fancy furniture. It’s just heavy-duty machines and the people who know how to run them. My uncle started this place, and he named it Jai Jawan because he had a lot of respect for the soldiers. We’ve kept the name and the same way of doing things ever since. Peenya is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the noise, but it’s where all the real manufacturing happens. We get parts brought in from all over the area that need smoothing down or sharpening. It’s a simple process, but you have to be careful with it. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. Most of our work comes from the same shops that have been sending us stuff since the nineties. It’s honest work, and it keeps the lights on at 421/2. We just show up, do the grinding, and go home.
