You’ll find us inside the ICAMT building, which is part of the CMTI campus on Tumkur Road in Yeshwanthpur. It’s a bit of a contrast to the busy road outside because the campus has some trees and feels a lot more organized. To get to our specific building, you have to follow the internal roads past a few other blocks. Once you’re inside, it’s mostly rooms with computers and desks set up for design work. We don’t have any flashy displays or high-end furniture. It’s just a place where people sit down and focus on their screens for hours at a time. The hallways are usually quiet, except for when a group of people finishes a session and heads out for a break. We have a small area where you can get some water or a quick snack, but that’s about it for amenities. The air conditioning keeps it cool, which is a relief from the Bangalore heat outside. Most of the people here are either teaching or learning how to use different software for machine design. It’s a very specific kind of environment, very practical and focused on the technical side of things. We’ve been using this space in the ICAMT building for a good while now, and it suits the kind of work we do without any unnecessary frills.
