Imperial College is located at 261 Jayanagar in Bangalore. Jayanagar is one of those parts of the city that still feels a bit old-school even with all the new buildings popping up. Our college is right there in the middle of it. If you spend any time in Bangalore, you know about the traffic and the noise, but Jayanagar has its own rhythm. The college building is a straightforward place. Students are always hanging around the entrance or rushing to catch a bus after their classes are done. We have a mix of different people here. Some are very serious about their studies and others are just happy to be out of the house. The classrooms are basic and the hallways can get a bit crowded between lectures. Being in the 560011 area means we are close to a lot of shops and small eateries where students go to get snacks. We don’t have a big fancy campus with sprawling lawns, just a functional building where the teaching happens. The staff room is usually full of people talking about their weekend or complaining about the commute. It’s a regular college life. Nothing too polished or corporate about it. We just open the doors in the morning, do the lectures, and go home when the sun starts to set over the city. It’s been our routine for a long time and we like the neighborhood feel of it.
