I B R House

I B R House is tucked away at 9 Sardar Patrappa Road in the Pada Pole area. We are on the first floor of the Mathrushree Complex. This whole street is always packed with trucks and carts, so getting here can be a bit of a squeeze if you are driving. Our place is full of various items we keep for the trade. The complex itself has seen better days, and the stairs are a little narrow, but it’s where we have been for years. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and folders. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. You can hear all the shouting and horns from the street below while we are trying to count the inventory. It’s a very practical space. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or painting the walls every year. We are more concerned with keeping track of what is in the warehouse and what needs to go out. The guys working here have been with me for a long time, so we know how everything works. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It is just the way things are in this part of town. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly other shop owners from the same road. We try to keep things organized but it's hard when so much stuff is moving in and out every day.
